Position Title: Landscape Gardener Hours: Full Time (38 Hours per week) Annual Salary: $76,530 plus superannuation
Responsibilities
* Interpreting landscape plans, drawings, and project layouts in accordance with client requirements and site specifications.
* Coordinating landscaping activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within timelines.
* Marking out structural and planted landscape features, including both hard and soft landscaping components.
* Constructing landscape structures, including gravel and paved surfaces, retaining walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and outdoor garden furniture.
* Preparing soil areas, seedbeds, and planting sites to promote healthy plant establishment and growth.
* Planting and maintaining trees, hedges, bushes, flowers, and bulbs according to landscape plans.
* Preparing lawn areas through spreading and leveling topsoil, sowing grass seed, and laying instant turf, and ongoing maintenance like mowing, top soiling and fertilizing.
* Inspecting and assessing trees to determine their health, structural condition, and required treatment or maintenance.
* Trimming and shaping tree branches and removing limbs using chainsaws, handsaws, and other specialised equipment.
* Applying sprays, fertilisers, and pest or disease control treatments to plants and trees, and removing diseased or damaged trees where required.
* Operating and maintaining irrigation systems.
* Operating landscaping machinery, tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
* Ensure all landscaping work complies with workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
