Your new role:
In this role, you will contribute to high-quality patient care by providing advanced pharmacy assistant services and supporting education and training initiatives across the pharmacy team, with responsibilities including:
Delivering a defined range of advanced pharmacy services for patients with complex conditions under pharmacist delegation
Providing education to patients on medication use and medication aids
Supporting, mentoring and supervising less experienced and new pharmacy assistants
Coordinating and contributing to pharmacy education and training activities in collaboration with clinical educators
Participating in quality improvement activities and promoting patient safety and service excellence
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaising with internal and external healthcare providers
Supporting medication supply and repeat medication services for long-term patients as appropriate
About you:
You will be a motivated and experienced pharmacy assistant who brings advanced knowledge, strong communication skills and a commitment to quality care, with:
Demonstrated advanced pharmacy knowledge, including medical terminology, medication use and healthcare systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise, mentor and work effectively within a team
Experience contributing to education, training or quality improvement activities under pharmacist guidance
A patient-focused approach and ability to support people with varying levels of health literacy
Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (or equivalent), including the HLTPA001 module

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
