The Delivery Lead will be responsible for the delivery of a project or portfolio of projects within the Agriculture and Water sectors. The Delivery Lead is required to work with the Bureau's EPMO and Program Manager as applicable to plan and develop detailed documentation for the delivery of each project. The Delivery Lead will take responsibility for the delivery of their assigned projects and manage finances, risks, issues, organisational change management and communications in line with the Bureau's Project Delivery Framework.
The role will be expected to be able to interact effectively across a diverse range of skillsets included ICT experts, policy development, technical writing, procurement and PMO functions. To be successful in the role the Delivery Lead must be able to meet deadlines, sustain high quality outputs, marshal broad expertise towards common outcomes, and have a meticulous approach to project documentation and standards.
The position will report to the Section Manager, Water Regulations and Standards and will work closely with project managers, technical leads, architects, business analysts, business SMEs and vendors.

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Ensure effective project control including the management of change, RAID, schedule and budget in accordance with the Bureau's Project Delivery Framework.
2. Collaborate proactively with Business Engagement Leads, and Bureau IT governance and support teams to ensure seamless project progression, alignment with strategic objectives, and timely resolution of issues.
3. Participate in the development of project business cases to maximise the likelihood of project success by ensuring there is a transparent rationale for change, optimal solutions are evaluated and selected, requirements are clear and there is a plan for their delivery, and the initiative has genuine management commitment and support.
4. Establish governance structures appropriate to achieve delivery success through regular status updates and decision making as required, ensuring ongoing alignment with objectives or varying via change control, and discerning involvement of relevant stakeholders and management of expectations.
5. Form and manage project teams, including the procurement of external providers, and allocating and overseeing activities to ensure quality and timely delivery.
6. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Bureau's Water IT systems and their lifecycle roadmaps.
7. Work with a level of independence, under broad direction, to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
8. Support the delivery of the Agriculture and Water Program Plan and undertaking other tasks related to Bureau priorities as required.
9. Promote and manage relationships and key strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders, community groups, business sponsors and service providers.
10. Represent the Bureau in public, government and industry forums, in a professional manner that represents the quality and trust associated with the Bureau brand.
