ABOUT THE ROLE
As aControl Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and commissioning of control, instrumentation, and automation systems across our mining and processing projects. Working closely with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering teams, you'll develop robust control strategies that ensure plant systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES
* Coordinate and preparesite QA/QC plans and procedures .
* Conductsite inspections and participate in acceptance testing for civil engineering packages.
* Review IFC drawings and preparestatements of work for tendering packages .
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve construction/installation issues and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Lead and participate inQA/QC inspections and provide technical oversight on rectifications.
* Maintain accurate reporting on construction and installation activities.
* Apply civil engineering principles to ensure projects meet design and legislative requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree inElectrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related Engineering discipline
* ConstructionWhite Card
* CurrentC Class Driver's Licence
* Ability to work on-site during construction and commissioning phases
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum5 years' experience in control systems engineering within mining or minerals processing
* Hands‑on experience withPLC/DCS systems (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider)
* Experience withSCADA platforms (Ignition, WinCC, Citect)
* Strong understanding of field instrumentation, control valves, and motor control systems
* Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
* Ability to interpretP&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics
* Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
