Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work with us in a paediatric occupational therapy practice that supports families to overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. Our practice is dedicated to empowering clients through assessment, treatment, and therapy intervention plans tailored to their unique needs.
* Conduct assessments and ongoing treatments of children, adolescents, and young adults with diverse needs.
* Design individualised, family-centred, and holistic therapy intervention plans and programs, and conduct hands-on therapy sessions.
* Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including general practitioners, paediatricians, preschool teachers, teachers, and other health professionals involved in client care.
* Combine clinic-based and off-site interventions, including daycare, kindy, school, workplace, and home visits, as well as utilising rented clinic rooms in other communities.
* Independently manage a clinical caseload with high standards of clinical reasoning, including managing bookings, time, and treatment plans, as well as understanding financial aspects related to appointments, travel, and administrative duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* An Occupational Therapy qualification.
* AHPRA registration.
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Preferred 2 years of experience in paediatric occupational therapy services, or a genuine passion and desire to develop paediatric skills.
* The ability to independently problem-solve and analyse client needs, conduct assessments, write high-quality reports, and provide therapy intervention sessions and programs.
