Job Title: Composite Hand Location: Tonsley, South Australia Salary: TBD Work Set-up: On-site | Full-time Relocation Assistance is provided for interstate candidates. About the Role: We are hiring a Composite Production Assistant to support mechanical and electronic assembly tasks across multiple internal projects. You will work hands-on in our state-of-the-art Adelaide facility, supporting the entire production process from raw materials to finished parts. Key Responsibilities: Perform composite lay-up, trimming, and finishing operations Assist with the processes related to composite materials Prepare moulds and components for production Conduct visual inspections and quality checks of finished parts Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety protocols Collaborate with other team members including technicians and engineers Handle general workshop or assembly support duties as required Qualification: To thrive in this role, you will bring: Prior hands-on experience in composite fabrication or production Familiarity with composite materials Ability to follow technical instructions, drawings, or work procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks in a workshop setting Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious Desirable: Certificate III/IV in Aeroskills, Composites, Polymer Processing, or similar. Experience operating autoclaves or vacuum bagging equipment. Familiarity with aerospace or defense production standards. Job Title: Composite Lead Location: Tonsley, South Australia Salary: TBD Work Set-up: On-site, Full-time About the Role: This is a hands-on leadership role for a composite specialist who enjoys working on the tools while also setting standards, mentoring technicians, and ensuring composite components are delivered to the highest quality. You will play a key role in bridging production and engineering, supporting both prototyping and full-scale manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee composite lay-up, trimming, curing, and finishing operations Act as the technical authority for composite manufacturing on the production floor Prepare, inspect, and approve moulds, materials, and components prior to production Ensure all composite processes comply with work instructions, quality standards, and specifications Conduct and oversee visual inspections and quality checks on finished components Drive continuous improvement across composite manufacturing processes Mentor, guide, and support composite technicians and production staff Collaborate closely with engineering to support prototyping, design iterations, and production readiness Ensure safe operation of hand and power tools and strict adherence to WHS requirements Assist with production planning, workflow coordination, and workshop support as required Qualification: To excel in this role, you will have: Strong hands-on experience in composite fabrication, ideally within an aerospace or high-performance manufacturing environment Demonstrated ability to lead, guide, or mentor technicians in a production setting Solid understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and workmanship Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on workshop environment Reliable, team-focused, and safety-driven mindset Australian citizenship required Desirable: Certificate III/IV in Aeroskills, Composites, Polymer Processing, or related trade qualification Experience with autoclave operations and/or vacuum bagging processes Exposure to aerospace or defence-grade manufacturing environments Perks and Benefits: Work at the forefront of Australian aerospace technology.
