We are seeking a new urban design team member with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design and delivery of land development projects .
Our clients include private sector developers as well as government agencies who deliver a wide range of master planned communities, urban renewal and infill precincts, industrial estates, and commercial centres. Projects vary in scale from small advisory and documentation tasks supporting development approvals to large master planned and mixed-use communities.
The role requires demonstrated skills and experience in project conception and visioning, design development, production of documentation, coordination with clients and consultants, and the communication of ideas through high-quality graphics and reports. Experience in preparing documentation that meets industry standards for statutory approval is essential.
Key Skills + Responsibilities
* Understanding of contemporary principles and practices of urban design and master planning in greenfield and brownfield contexts.
* Strong place analysis and design skills.
* Assist with preparing tender submissions.
* Ability to understand and respond to planning policies.
* Effective collaboration with technical consultants.
* Excellent time and fee management skills, with project and client management experience highly desirable.
* Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams supporting integrated planning, built form, public realm, and infrastructure solutions.
* Positive and collaborative approach within a studio environment.
Professional Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban design, urban planning, landscape architecture, or architecture.
* Minimum 8 years of demonstrated experience in land development projects.
* Track record of project work in Australia.
Software Skills:
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.
* 3D software skills such as SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino are desirable but not essential.
* ArcGIS skills are desirable but not essential.
