Montgomery Carey and Associates' are seeking a full-time Accountant to join our team in Warrnambool, Victoria. In this key role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive taxation and accounting services to our diverse client base across a range of industries.
What you'll be doing
Preparing annual and monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow statements
Completing tax returns and business activity statements for individuals and small-to-medium enterprises
Assisting clients with tax planning and providing strategic advice to minimise their tax obligations
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
Actively contributing to the growth and development of the practice
What we're looking for
Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proficient in using accounting software such as MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks
Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
