About the Role
Our Graduate Registered Nurse Program is progressive, responsive and innovative. We use the latest evidence to develop our program study days together with regular feedback from our graduates.
We support and facilitate the development of a well prepared, high quality, safe nursing and midwifery workforce committed to improving health outcomes.
We have three pathways for nursing graduates in 2027 including:
* General Nursing (12 months with 2 rotations)
* Mental Health Nursing (once matched with Eastern Health, there is opportunity to express interest for a) 12 months in mental health, or b) 6 months in general nursing and 6 months in mental health nursing)
* Collaborative program with Alexandra District Health (ADH) (6 months at Eastern Health and 6 months at ADH)

* Be eligible for the PMCV GNMP application process (i.e. completion / completing relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, working towards Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA, etc.)

* Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
