We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join our technical services team at Gruyere Gold Mine.
About the Role
As a Senior Mine Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in planning for the safe and optimal extraction of gold from the mine. Your core function will be to design and schedule all aspects of the operation, as well as act as the key conduit between long-term and short-term planning functions.
* Create budgets and schedules for mine planning and operations
* Design open pit mines, including waste dumps and other surface infrastructure
* Regularly review and update general mine planning assumptions
* Coordinate capital projects from feasibility studies to execution
You will work closely with our technical services superintendent and other stakeholders to ensure that our mining operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in open pit engineering, with a strong understanding of mining and environmental approvals. Proficiency in mining software such as Alastri, Deswik, and Microsoft Office is also required.
