Our unique "ultra-lean" manufacturing system allows us to build custom sheet metal projects in 2–3 days with no minimum orders. About the Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated and talented Computer Science Co‐op Student from DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY to join our team for a 16‐week term. You'll work in a fast‐paced, innovative environment alongside engineers, developers, and production experts—building tools and software solutions that help us deliver cutting‐edge manufacturing to our customers. This is a hands‐on opportunity to work on real projects that make a difference, not just theoretical exercises.
What You'll Be Doing
* Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of our software tools.
* Work with Java or other object‐oriented languages to create functional, efficient code.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve challenges.
* Assist with the integration of 3D modeling and graphics into our applications (if applicable).
* Gain experience with CAD software and its applications in manufacturing.
About You
* Experience & understanding with Java programming or other object-oriented language.
* Experience with 3D modeling and graphics would be a plus.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team.
* Experience with CAD software would be considered an asset.
* Willingness to relocate to Sydney, NS for the duration of the co‐op term.
* Bonus: Interest in pursuing full‐time permanent employment after graduation.
Compensation & Term Details
* Wage: $19.50/hour
* Hours: 40 hours/week
* Term Length: 16 weeks
* Full‐time, permanent employment may be possible following completion of the student's degree.
