The TEAM you would be joining:
Organisationally, we are a passionate and dedicated team of 60 spread across Manufacturing, R&D, Sales and Support. Reporting to the Lead Software Manager this position is part of a group of highly skilled software engineers. Working within the R&D group, you will be immersed into a team of engineers who are expert in a variety of disciplines including electronics, optical, mechanical, systems and software engineering.

The responsibilities of this position include:
Designing new architecture and software to solve complicated analytical problems and present the results through user focused UI's
Undertaking research and contribute to the decision-making process for the identification of technologies to be adopted by the company for future product development
Working collaboratively with the team to develop, maintain and support company products and internal use software
Seeking ways to refactor existing code to improve software robustness across all aspects of the business
Contributing to verification of software through functional and test-driven development methodologies
The PERSON that you are:
You are someone who has a strong belief in your technical ability and a desire to share your knowledge with others. You will possess the essential core technical skills for this role which include:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a mid to senior software engineer
Degree qualified in Science/Computer Science or Engineering
Languages: .NET Frameworks 4 through to current .NET in C# & C++ (CLI)
Languages: Native C++ (version 20 highly desirable) and knowledge of C++ Core Guidelines
Architecture: Sound understanding of OO techniques and experience in design patterns
Through your career experience you will have ideally gained experience in at least some of the following:
Developing complex and efficient Winforms applications
Image processing techniques utilizing third-party graphical libraries; OpenCV, OpenGL, DirectX
Python experience for rapid prototyping
Experience in contributing to and possibly managing small project teams
Automated test tools and techniques
Exposure to working according to a quality management system, preferably ISO 62304
