We’re seeking an experienced Manager Treasury - Liquidity and Money Markets to join our high performing Liquidity and Money Markets Team. In this key position you’ll be responsible for co-ordinating the dealing and execution activities of ING Australia’s liquidity and money market activities.
The Liquidity Management and Money Market (“LM&MM”) team is responsible for ensuring the bank remains compliant with internal and external liquidity limits. This includes the daily management of the bank’s cash position, effective planning for balance sheet developments in the short and medium term and liquidity stress testing.
The team deals with external parties including the Reserve Bank of Australia and fixed income investors. It deals in overnight cash, NCD/ECP issuance, collateral management, and FX on the bank’s behalf and works closely with the other Group Treasury teams in Australia and the global LM&MM team to ensure efficient management of the bank’s balance sheet.

What you’ll do
* Manage daily ESA balance; execute short term funding transactions and intra-group funding transactions, including FX hedges
* Forecast liquidity requirements over the short and medium term while managing LCR and liquidity stress positions
* Use available money market tools to add value e.g. repos, FX swaps and pro-active management of assets and liabilities
* Interact with Finance and Risk Management to ensure a robust control environment
* Identify opportunities to employ specific strategies to benefit from changing market conditions and developments in the business impacting the balance sheet
* Explain complex concepts to senior personnel outside of Group Treasury while enhancing analysis and reporting of exposures and scenario modelling in relation to potential strategies
What we’re looking for
* Experienced people leader with excellent coaching and development abilities
* 5+ years active involvement in a Bank Treasury
* A high level of knowledge and experience in relation to financial markets and the application of products to the management of balance sheet risks
* Risk management and trading of financial markets risk (nice to have)
* Minimum of an undergraduate degree in finance, commerce, economics or related disciplines
