The opportunity
Located in brand new, architecturallydesigned offices in Sutherland, close to public transport, cafesand gyms, this pivotal role coordinates and leadsthe quality andcompliance requirements for theorganisation. This includes the quality management system, the oversight of the development ofpolicies andproceduresand both internal and externalreporting requirements.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and develop the quality and compliance capability across the organisation that supports the strategic, quality and continuous improvement agenda.
* Work with subject matter experts to ensure that policies and procedures are developed that meet legislative and regulatory requirements and are fit for purpose within the Sylvanvale operating environment.
* Analyze the business environment to identify current and emerging risks and service improvement initiatives.
* Lead and manage Sylvanvale's audit processes both internal and external to ensure a quality and consistent response to audit requirements.
* Manage changes in Sylvanvale's risk framework in line with changes in legislation, standards and Sylvanvale strategies and business direction.
* Apply commercial acumen to reviewing and recommending business methodologies and technology.
* Adhere to NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission compliance requirements and to other legislative and regulatory requirements as required.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience in disability services including the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission regarding the oversight and use of quality management systems.
* Demonstrated experience working with quality programs, accreditation and/or auditing ideally in Community, Disability Service Provider, Health, Government or related field (minimum 2 years).
* Working knowledge of information systems used for the recording and reporting of incidents and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrated expertise in writing policy and procedures at a high level.
* An understanding of continuous improvement and quality assurance concepts and systems; including its application to practice.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels including managers, staff, customers, and external agencies.
* Ability to work independently, organise priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail.
