This role involves providing technical sales support to the business, developing and implementing systems and processes to optimize technical capabilities, ensuring they meet current and future requirements.

Responsibilities include developing and delivering technical training materials and programs to enhance the technical knowledge and capabilities of dealers, contractors, rental companies, internal sales and customer service staff.

The ideal candidate will have worked in equipment hire companies for construction, industrial, and DIY tools or have hands-on experience as a tradie. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential, along with time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical support through direct contact with dealers, contractors, rental companies, internal sales, and customer service staff
">
* Monitor product performance, maintain records, and coordinate improvements for technical problems, service issues, and emerging product concerns
">
* Establish and maintain relationships and regular contact with key technical personnel across the portfolio of brands and suppliers both domestically and internationally
">
* Provide support to the product development program through technical insight, adherence, and compliance to safety and design standards, prototype development, infield testing, and analysis
">

Requirements and Qualifications:

* Basic understanding and knowledge of diesel and petrol engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and mechanical trades or related fields is desirable
">
* Ability to comprehend, interpret, and analyze technical publications such as schematics, service, and spare parts literature, technical bulletins, and detailed product specifications
">
* Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
">
* Advanced presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to effectively present and influence at all levels

* Ability to safely operate a wide range of powered construction equipment
">
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and technology literacy

* Must hold a valid Australian driver's license

* Willingness to travel within Australia and internationally, as required
