About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work as a Chef Manager with a predominately 9:00am to 5:30pm schedule. As a key member of our team, you will report directly to Operations Managers and be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and cooking of meals according to set menus
* Ensuring meals are of high quality with excellent presentation
* Communicating effectively with Site Managers and Facility staff
* Providing supervision and direction to Kitchen Staff
* Maintaining safe food handling and hygiene practices
* Completing food safety documentation
* Adhering to budgets, stock take, and regular ordering procedures
* Assisting with kitchen staff schedules and filling shifts
Requirements
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Experience in Aged Care (preferable)
* Experience with Western Cooking
