We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Drill and Blast Engineer to join our Mt Charlotte Technical team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity that will provide you with the chance to develop your skills in drilling, blasting and ancillary mine planning.
This role is responsible for generating, scheduling and implementing short-term drilling, blasting and ancillary mine plans to achieve operational goals in a safe and cost-effective manner. You will work closely with our Scheduling Engineer to ensure production plans align with weekly and monthly targets.
As an Underground Drill and Blast Engineer, you will be involved in inspecting and assessing underground production areas, liaising with survey and geology departments and providing technical support to underground supervisors and crew members.
This role requires a strong understanding of drilling, blasting and ancillary mine planning principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. If you have experience in a similar role and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Requirements:
1. Experience in a similar underground position
2. Bachelor Degree of Mining Engineering
3. Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and Word
4. Experience in mine design software, with Deswik being the preferred package
5. Experience in a production engineering related role with exposure to underground ventilation
6. Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of competency, or the ability to attain the certificate
7. Dangerous Goods Security Card or proof of application
8. Must reside in the Goldfields region or be willing to relocate
9. Current Unencumbered Western Australian
