Frontend Software Engineer - Canva CJKI - Mandarin speaking preferred (open to remote across ANZ)
Join Canva's innovative team as a Frontend Software Engineer, focusing on the CJKI group to enhance user experiences in China, Japan, South Korea, and India. This role is Australia-based but involves close collaboration with our Beijing team, emphasizing localization and user growth.
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with product teams to develop experiments for local markets.
* Ensuring seamless integration of frontend libraries into localized projects.
* Designing and maintaining reusable frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
* Optimizing frontend performance, accessibility, and maintainability, especially for emerging markets.
* Implementing automated testing to ensure code quality.
* Staying updated with the latest frontend technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
* Experience with build tools like Webpack, Rollup, or Babel.
* Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, or Cypress.
* Understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility standards.
* Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures and architecture.
* Familiarity with browser concepts like the event loop and rendering pipeline.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in Mandarin preferred due to collaboration with Beijing team.
