The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Trade Manager to join our client's team in Darwin. As the Trade Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the metalwork department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to our customers. This role requires strong technical knowledge of metalwork, excellent leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach. You will be responsible for managing a team of metalworkers, coordinating production, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
As a Trade Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, delivering high-quality products to our customers, and driving customer satisfaction.

The Role
Key responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the fabrication workshop through effective and efficient planning and scheduling
Leadership of a small team of skilled tradespeople
Liaise between management, on site staff as well as workshop staff.
Effective management of all workshop tools and parts.
Ensuring the site is compliant with safety standards and all safety systems are adhered to.
Provide the site with adequate information in time to meet critical path deadlines.
Implementation of current quality procedures and QA policy and procedures
Quoting and Estimating
Workshop/trade management experience.
Related education/experience
Experience with steelwork, metal sheet working or welding.
Project management skills.
Computer savvy
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently whilst contributing as a key team member.
