Legal Consultant – Commercial, TMT, Data Privacy and Procurement Lawyer (4+ PQE)
We are currently seeking self-driven commercial, TMT, data privacy and procurement lawyers (4+ PQE) to work with our clients who have experience in any of the following areas:
Commercial transactions
Technology / IT agreements (e.g., SaaS agreements, software licences, development agreements, client/vendor cloud computing arrangements)
Outsourcing and procurement agreements
E-commerce
Contract management
Advising on data protection, privacy and cyber-security matters, including GDPR, CCPA or Australian privacy law
Advising on international data transfers
Assisting with privacy, cyber-security and data protection compliance in M&A transactions
Managing third-party data processor and supplier arrangements
Preparing for and responding to cyber-security incidents
Candidates can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or may work remotely.
Successful applicants will
Have the right to work and reside in Australia
Be qualified to practice and hold an unrestricted (unsupervised) practising certificate or the ability to obtain one
Have at least four years of post-qualification experience within a law firm of comparable calibre
Be willing to engage with Peerpoint as a casual employee or through an Independent Legal Practice
Have strong technical knowledge and preferably recent Australian experience (though not strictly required)
Be a self-starter committed to building a consulting career and achieving at a high level
Be adept at leading or working within complex, multi-functional, multi-national project environments
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling interaction at all levels
Be client-service-focused, with exemplary ethics and commitment
Have strong commercial and business acumen
Be resilient, adaptable, autonomous and highly credible
Possess advanced organisational skills and diplomacy
