About the Role
We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated team in Wantirna.
We have the option of Full Time, Part Time or Casual depending on the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will have a strong focus in customer service with exceptional interpersonal skills.
You will be responsible for providing high quality reception and administrative service to the patients, doctors and staff of the practice in a caring and supportive manner.

Key Responsibilities
Acting as the first point of contact and greeting patients on arrival
Appointment scheduling
Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner
Collect patient information, while maintaining privacy
Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically
Enter data as required with a high level of accuracy
Bill and receipt patient accounts, Private/Medicare/DVA
Fax/Scan/File documents
Maintain a clean and tidy professional environment, including cleaning of the consult rooms and waiting room between sessions
Liaise with GP's, other health professionals and their staff
Skills and Experience
Previous reception experience in General Practice highly desired
Experience in the use of best practice medical software desired
Flexible working hours
Exceptional phone manner and communication skills
Proficiency in computer skills including typing and the use of Microsoft 365
Understanding of medical terminology
Knowledge of Medicare MBS item numbers
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality
