Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a psychologist in a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting. You will be working with diverse mental health needs of military members, supporting their well-being and recovery.
The successful candidate will have the autonomy to manage their caseload, including overseeing and case managing externally referred cases and providing internal treatment to Defence members. Additionally, they will be responsible for crisis presentations, risk assessment, and risk management planning, supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
The role involves working part-time hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* High levels of personal integrity and ethical behavior.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
