Perioperative Registered Nurse - Full-time
About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience in theatre to join our clinical team on a full time basis. No overnights or on-call & occasional Saturday work optional.
Duties and responsibilities
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Assist the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
- Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
- Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
- Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
- Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift
About You
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience in perioperative scrub/ scout nursing
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
- Current AHPRA registration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the below specialties desirable

About Westside Private Hospital
Westside Private Hospital is a specialised short-stay facility, supporting a diverse range of specialties including Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology, General & Colorectal Surgery, Dermatology, MOHs, IVF, Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Oral Surgery. It has 4 Operating Theatres, 1 procedure room, 3 treatment rooms, a 12- bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, a 9-chair Stage 3 PACU, and 6-bed surgical ward.
