An experienced Occupational Therapist is required for a locum position in Mackay, Queensland.
The Occupational Therapy Service delivers care to patients throughout the hospital departments, outpatient settings, community, and rural areas.
Occupational Therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages overcome disabilities caused by illness, ageing, or accidents.
This service assesses, re-enables, and maintains individuals' capacity to live independently.
This role focuses on community-based services covering clinical conditions and complexity.
The target consumer population includes adults, including frail aged, and their carers.
Responsibilities
* Work in community-based services for adults, including frail aged and carers.
* Provide specialised and intensive rehabilitation, low-intensity rehabilitation, maintenance, and basic support.
* Engage with medical, nursing, physiotherapy, social work, psychology, speech pathology, dietetics, continence, and other team members to coordinate care.
Essential Qualifications
* Experience in community health, home visits, aged care services, rehabilitation, and neurological caseloads is highly desirable.
* A driving license is required.
