About the Role
This is a job-share position, currently offering 4 days per week. You'll lead a diverse department incorporating maternity services, paediatric elective surgery, and general surgery with a strong focus on women's health.
As the Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager, you will provide both operational and clinical leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and safe service delivery, while driving efficiency and fostering a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Clinical Leadership: Promote excellence in patient-centred care, oversee clinical risk management and participate in accreditation processes.
* Administrative Management: Oversee financial, human, and equipment resources within the unit and maintain workforce profiles.
* Strategic & Team Development: Lead with integrity, promote a collaborative work culture, and contribute to service planning to maintain care standards.
Remuneration:
As per the relevant Enterprise Agreement: NUM Level 2 – $69.02632/hour
About You
* AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife (essential)
* Tertiary qualification in Midwifery
* Demonstrated experience across all midwifery domains
* Previous leadership and management experience
* Strong interpersonal, team leadership, and change management skills
* Permanent residency or Australian citizenship
