Job Summary
As the Quality Advisor on the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 Project, you will support implementation and monitoring of the project's quality objectives, requirements, risks, and other issues that may affect successful delivery. You will assist the project team with implementation of inspection and test requirements for the Civil, Structural Rail scope. The role is regionally based and requires close collaboration across eight sites from Wandong to Benalla, working closely with engineers, design consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met and the project progresses smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Specific quality duties in discrete work areas
* Day-to-day coordination of quality-related processes, development and review of Inspection & Test plans, quality control plans, process control verification auditing, ensuring that the delivered product meets relevant specifications and standards
* Inspection surveillance of off-site suppliers and subcontractors
* Document quality issues & performance measures for management review and coordinate close-out of Quality-related Construction Issues, including coordination with consultations, proof engineers, client and stakeholders
* Assist the Quality Manager with implementation of the Project's Quality Management System in accordance with the Project Quality Management Plan
* Advocate and lead in quality by communicating & distributing notifications including lessons learned and quality events
* Work with project team to assist with approval of materials, associated QA documents and QA lots
* Prepare and coordinate audit reports summarizing process, production and quality issues with recommended corrective actions
* Administer the relevant systems utilised for monitoring and documenting quality issues and actions
Qualifications
* Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a similar role
* Strong personal organisation skills
* Time management skills to meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication & negotiation skills with both project and external stakeholders
* Ability to deliver a strong positive message on site for Quality & Completions
* Ability to understand and interpret applicable Australian Standards and relevant project specifications
