Working closely with the director to understand the style of the story, the Hair and Make-Up (HMUA) Department help actors portray their characters by using hair and make-up to create a look. The team work creativity to help create and apply masks, make-up, SFX make-up, wigs, prosthetics, or other ways of transforming an actor’s appearance for a role. In assisting the HMUA team you will provide support in their day-to-day work and gain a deeper understanding of the department. The below may be part of your core responsibilities Script breakdown Taking photos and notes for continuity Maintenance of the trailer and stations Assisting the HMUA standbys Cleaning and storing equipment Preparing kits and prepping for character looks Working with the camera department on test shots Assisting with wig and prosthetic fittings Administrative support What are we looking for?
