The role
The Principal Product Owner at Value NSW is a pivotal role within the agile development framework, tasked with maximising the value of digital products. The role involves defining the product vision, managing the product backlog, acting as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, guiding the development process, reviewing and accepting completed work, and managing product releases. Continuous improvement through backlog refinement and retrospectives is also required.
Essential Requirements
* Relevant qualifications in a technology or product discipline or relevant professional experience.
What You will bring to the role
* Product and Backlog Management: Strong understanding of product lifecycle management from ideation to launch and experience in end‐to‐end management of digital products.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Outstanding ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Technical and Analytical Expertise: Basic understanding of software development, strong knowledge of cloud technologies, DevOps, database management, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Leadership and Decision‐Making: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the development team and make informed decisions quickly.
* Framework Creation and UX Understanding: Expertise in creating frameworks, assessing tools to support agile delivery and integration for centrally hosted and externally used solutions, and solid UX design principles.
