About The Role
BDO Brisbane is currently looking for a dynamic Manager to join our Corporate & International Tax team. In this role you will work closely with industry leaders, developing your knowledge and skill set in complex compliance and consulting tax work.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake tax due diligence assignments and transactional work
* Research and draft complex tax letters of advice
* Liaise with the ATO regarding client matters
* Review income tax returns and work papers
* Review tax effect accounting calculations
* Mentor and develop technical skills of graduates and junior staff
* Lead multiple engagements of varying size and complexity, including overseeing deliverables, work allocations, deadlines and budgets
About You
* Demonstrated corporate tax experience working in the tax practice of a Big4 or mid-tier accounting firm
* Completed a CA/CPA qualification or Master of Taxation
* Hold a university degree in accounting and/or law (or related disciplines)
* Strong client advisory and communication skills
* Experienced level of tax compliance background, with a passion for improving advisory technical expertise and knowledge
* Extensive consulting exposure to a range of clients, ideally including cross‐border structures, financing arrangements and transactions
