Smart Economy Lead

This role makes a significant contribution to the City by spearheading a range of initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. The successful candidate will develop and manage projects that drive economic growth, foster relationships with government agencies, community stakeholders, and international partners, and provide expert advice on policy development, infrastructure planning, and technology integration.

* Develop and manage strategic projects that support economic growth, including investment attraction, business support, and smart city activations.
* Cultivate relationships with government agencies, community stakeholders, and international partners to promote the region as a destination for sustainable investment.
* Conduct research and data analysis to identify trends and evaluate the impact of economic initiatives.
* Provide expert advice on policy development, infrastructure planning, and technology integration to enhance city amenities and commercial viability.
* Collaborate across Council teams to deliver minor capital works, grants programs, and public-facing technology projects.

* Leading a range of Smart Economy initiatives aligned with strategic priorities.
* Developing and managing strategic projects that support economic growth.
* Cultivating relationships with government agencies, community stakeholders, and international partners.
* Providing expert advice on policy development, infrastructure planning, and technology integration.
* Collaborating across Council teams to deliver minor capital works, grants programs, and public-facing technology projects.

* Bachelor Degree or higher in Marketing and Communications, Business, Economics, Public Policy, Project Management or a related field.
* Relevant work experience in stakeholder engagement, project management, and contract oversight.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver business support programs and implement smart technology infrastructure.
* Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and the use of promotional strategies to identify and address issues, gaps, and opportunities.
