About the Role
As part of the Transport Team, the Transport Driver key responsibilities and duties are:
* Provide transport services via CatholicCare fleet of buses or cars
* Provide appropriate information and support to clients about transport services
* Undertake appropriate risk assessments and vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of clients to access and use transport services
* Report incidents and hazards about service delivery and fleet vehicles as per organisational procedures
* Promoting services in the region to ensure ongoing program viability
Qualifications and Experience
* Current C or CA class driver's license (QLD)
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Authorisation License
* Demonstrated experience in Transport Services or Community Care Service (Desirable)
* Experience in driving 12-seater vehicles (Desirable)
Core Competencies
* Professional communication skills
* Ability to build rapport with clients and have a high level of customer service
* Basic numeracy, written and verbal communication skills relevant to the work area
* Strong technical skills, including the ability to proficiently use computers and handheld devices such as phones and Ipads
* Ability to conduct appropriate risk assessments
Other Requirements
* Basic knowledge of administrative practice and procedures relevant to the work area
* Sound computer knowledge
* Prior experience providing transport services (desirable)
* Must be willing to provide transport services in any allocated fleet vehicle such as seat buses or vans
* Availability to work Monday to Friday, starting from 07:00am
