About the Role
We currently have a nursing casemanagement opportunity for a NZ Registered Nurse with mental health scope, to provide assessment and treatment interventions for patients based in Ashburton. Our Community Mental Health Team covers a large geographical area, from Rakaiato the Rangitata River and across to the Southern Alps. You'll work within a small rural multi-disciplinary team, primarily working alongside our team of case managers including Social Workers, Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatrists. Professional development through ongoing education is encouraged and supported.
About you
As a professional and highly skilled registered nurse, who displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm for this area of work, you will enjoy working in a committed and hardworking multi‐disciplinary team. You will enjoy the challenges of working at the top of your scope of practice and be supported in achieving and maintaining this.
In addition you:
* Must be Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope.
* Must have experience working in mental health.
* Be a registered DAO or prepared to train as one.
* Must hold a current full driver's licence.
Skills and Attributes
A motivated self‐starter, you must enjoy the challenges of case management, including assessment, treatment and building relationships with consumers and their families/whānau. The ability to work in an integrated manner with our inpatient team and to develop sound working relationships with community resources and services is essential. Be part of an organisation that provides an open and friendly approach and fantastic opportunities for skills development. Experience in mental health, acute assessment skills and community experience preferred. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi‐Disciplinary Team.
