We are supporting a hospitality group (SXW Pty Ltd) based in Darwin that operates across several popular venues, specialising in Aussie-Italian and Aussie-Filipino fusion cuisine. The business is known for its commitment to handcrafted meals, warm service, and consistent customer satisfaction. They are currently hiring for the following roles: Cook and Pastrycook.
These roles offer a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and grow within a stable, fast-paced hospitality environment. 1. COOK Job Overview:
As a Cook, you will prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, support inventory control, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare meals according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
Ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in food production. Support stock management and assist with food ordering. Follow food safety and hygiene protocols.
Requirements: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent. 1–2 years of cooking experience in a commercial setting.
Time management skills and shift flexibility. 2. PASTRYCOOK Job Overview:
The Pastrycook is responsible for baking and decorating pastries, cakes, and desserts that align with our menu and visual presentation standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a range of desserts, tarts, and cakes.
Decorate and plate desserts attractively and consistently. Maintain cleanliness and food safety in the pastry section. Assist in developing and testing new recipes.
Requirements: Certificate III in Patisserie or Commercial Cookery or equivalent. Previous pastry/baking experience in a commercial kitchen.
Creativity, precision, and understanding of HACCP. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Competitive salary starting at $56,000 (with scope to increase based on experience)
