We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Procurement Manager – Production
to join our high-performing procurement team in Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Procurement – Directs, you will be responsible for the full end-to-end procurement lifecycle for Production, including services such as Production Consumables (ink, plates, plastic wrap), Production Equipment, Printing Services, and Temporary Labour.
The successful candidate will work within our dynamic and collaborative team of procurement professionals, taking an active lead in delivering procurement and contract management activities for their category.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency. Prepare high-quality procurement documentation, including procurement plans, tender packs, and schedules. Support the business in optimising P&L and driving operational efficiencies.
* Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFQs, and commercial negotiations to secure optimal contract terms and pricing.
* Stakeholder Management & Partnering: Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (Legal, Risk, Insurance, Compliance, Sustainability) to ensure efficient delivery of procurement initiatives and unlock value.
* Contract & Supplier Management: Provide expert guidance on contract management, oversee supplier relationships, monitor contract performance and compliance, and mitigate risks to maintain high-quality service and value.
* Project Management: Drive transformational procurement projects from initiation to completion, delivering significant business impact. Prepare and present award recommendations to senior management.
Who are you?
* 5+ years of Procurement experience, ideally in Production, Print, or Manufacturing, with expertise in strategic sourcing, project management, and supplier/contract management.
* Skilled at building strong internal and supplier relationships and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex organisations and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
* Highly confident with contracts, including review, drafting, and advice, supported by senior procurement management and Legal.
* Positive, proactive, collaborative, and ethical, with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of delivering cost savings and operational benefits.
* Curious and driven to identify value - both financial and operational - while challenging the status quo and remaining resilient and flexible.
