Public Affairs Officer Role
This role involves managing external communications and media relations for a fast-paced government department. You will be responsible for delivering communication strategies and project requirements, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in public affairs, media, or government communications at the PAO2/APS6 level. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a high-performing environment.
A bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or a related field is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results in a similar role, with a strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
This is an initial 6-month contract with opportunities for extension or ongoing employment. As a Public Affairs Officer, you will be involved in the end-to-end delivery of projects, working closely with colleagues to achieve desired outcomes.
