Discover it for yourself: of PositionThe Senior Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the material, people, and equipment required to build a new product are set up in Salesforce, tracked in Celoxis, and organized on the production line.
You will also influence project direction to consider scalability from the outset.This role involves working closely with the project manager, purchasing, production engineers, R&D, and the production manager.
It is well-suited for a technically-minded individual with a high attention to detail and the ability to influence others to meet the business's commercial needs.What you'll doPerform electronics diagnostics and repairs on production electronic components and subassemblies, or provide instructions for technicians to repair products.Conduct root cause analysis on material failures at incoming goods, production failures, and customer returns to determine appropriate repairs or corrective actions to minimize scrap and improve product quality.Support the production team by providing technical expertise to minimize stoppages and meet targets, through daily updates and formal training sessions or workshops.Verify the suitability of production jigs and equipment before use in production.Inspect the first batch of new or modified components or assemblies in production.Implement and train staff on new products in production.Assess new products for manufacturability and recommend design changes, production processes, suppliers, and equipment to R&D for scaled manufacturing.Research manufacturing processes, evaluate their potential to meet production goals, and engage with suppliers to build mutually beneficial relationships.Drive continuous improvement and manage change within the production team by identifying systemic issues, troubleshooting, and advising on technical process improvements with R&D.Qualifications, skills & experienceBachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Systems, with 4+ years of relevant experience.Established professional relationships with relevant suppliers (PCBA, BON, Test Fixture Suppliers).
Experience in the assembly and fabrication of advanced electronic products.Ability to operate equipment and learn from suppliers in areas such as Level Tables, Dispensing, PCBA, and Motion Simulators.Quick learner capable of developing deep technical skills in challenging domains.Experience in measuring and reporting production metrics.Basic knowledge of software (Java, C, C++), electronics, and mechanical design processes.Strong problem-solving, fault-finding, and debugging skills.High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical documentation.Motivated, energetic, responsive, and decisive.
