In this role you will:
* Work as part of a hands-on team delivering essential road construction and maintenance improvements on live, road-based projects.
* Operate excavators and other plant items such as backhoes, loaders, bobcats, mixers, stabilisers or rollers, whilst contributing hands-on labour when needed.
* Carry out pre-start checks, maintain safety and environmental standards, and contribute to reliable, high-quality task outcomes.
* Support the delivery of safer roads and community outcomes across local and remote projects through consistent effort and teamwork.

You will live within a 100 km radius from the appointed base (depot) and are prepared to work outside normal working hours, attend callouts, travel across the district and work away from home when needed.
About you:
* You are a safety-focused, hard working plant operator who enjoys working in team environments.
* You'll have experience operating in and around live traffic environments.
* You are confident in the safe and efficient operations of Excavators as well as other plant items (such as backhoes, loaders, bobcats, mixers, stabilisers, and rollers) with experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them appropriately.
You must hold the following tickets/ Licence's
* White Card
* Current driver's licence
Traffic Control tickets and Truck Licence (Medium Rigid) up to (Heavy Rigid) are preferred but not essential.
You must have previous experience as a Road Worker Grade 1- 3 level or related civil construction labouring experience. Please refer to the role description above for more detail.
