Role Summary
The Department's Two-way Science Initiative requires a Principal Consultant to lead its ongoing development and implementation.
This role involves planning and coordinating activities with Ranger Groups, community groups, and school curriculum teams to develop culturally responsive teaching and learning programs for primary and secondary school students.
You will build positive relationships with parents/carers and local Aboriginal communities, providing expert advice and guidance on the initiative's delivery, risk management, and safe and effective implementation.
* A deep understanding of Kimberley Aboriginal cultures and the ability to establish effective working relationships with Aboriginal school communities is essential.
* Collaboration with curriculum team members within the Regional Education Office and Statewide Services is required to deliver professional learning and support schools in embedding culturally responsive practices.
This position is based at the Regional Education Office in Broome. Flexible workplace arrangements may be negotiated with the Regional Executive Director.
