Practice Nurse – General Practice

About the Role
As a part of our nursing team, you will be key in ensuring the smooth running of the treatment room, supporting doctors in clinical services and connecting with patients with the goal to enhance their experience and health outcomes.
As part of our amazing team, you'll be involved in:
* Supporting patients with Chronic Disease Management and GP Care Plans
* Conducting Health Assessments to help people stay on top of their wellbeing
* Administering Childhood Immunisations and other Vaccinations
* Performing ECG, Spirometry, and 24-Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring
* Assisting our doctors during minor procedures
* Providing Wound Care and removing sutures

What We're Looking For
* AHPRA Registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse
* Good communication skills and friendly, professional interaction with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare staff.
* Willingness to keep learning and continuing professional development
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
* Proficient in the use of technology (i.e. computers & healthcare technology)
* Either experienced in General Practice or interested in making the move into GP nursing
* Graduates and nurses new to general practice are welcome to apply
Preferred but not required:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a general practice or primary care setting
* Experience with Best Practice Software

Hours & Renumeration
* 30–38 hours per week – your choice of a 4 or 5 day work week (Part time of Full Time)
* School hours available
* No weekends or after-hours work
* Above award wage (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
