Empowering Individuals with Disabilities
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities in our Supported Independent Living Homes.
You will assist clients with daily living activities, accompany them on outings, and offer emotional support to promote independence and wellbeing.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping tasks
* Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and community activities, fostering connections and experiences
* Provide emotional support and companionship to maintain client independence and quality of life, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for continuity of care, ensuring seamless service delivery
Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or related field, demonstrating expertise in disability services
* Previous experience in aged care or disability support, preferably in a similar role, showcasing adaptability and compassion
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport and provide empathetic care, addressing the unique needs of each individual
