Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organisation looking for a doer on a high‑profile leisure / hospitality redevelopment project. Having sector experience would be ideal.
Our client is delivering a large‑scale and complex redevelopment project working with a number of key public and private sector stakeholders. They are now seeking an experienced Senior/Project Manager to join the project team to oversee the tier 1 head contractor. This is an exciting, high‑profile client‑side role on a key project, focused on establishing a fit‑for‑purpose complex for the Territory.
You will play a critical role in delivering the project, interfacing with a number of internal and external stakeholders, resolving complex issues, and representing the project across a range of forums.
This is a full‑time contract position working on a high‑profile, complex building construction project. Having experience in leisure or hospitality sectors or similar will be ideal. Candidates can come from a consultancy or head contractor background and ideally have some building experience.
Responsibilities
* Client management and consultation
* Project Planning / Feasibility studies
* Design Management and Value Engineering
* Procurement of construction services
* Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
* Commissioning and post‑contract duties for handover
* Oversight and delivery of the project
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or similar
* Minimum 7 to 15+ years of experience within the construction industry
* Proven knowledge of contract administration and base‑build construction
* Sound understanding of overall construction programmes and plans
* Able to identify key client and builder obligations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build rapport at all levels
* Advanced computer literacy; advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
