Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Jewellery Sourcing Specialist to join our retail business. This dynamic and fast-paced role will focus on sourcing, product development, and supplier negotiation. You will play a key role in curating a compelling jewellery range that resonates with our customers.
This position reports to the Head of Merchandising and is responsible for sourcing and purchasing jewellery across precious metals, gemstones, and finished pieces for both retail and special-order purposes. The ideal candidate thrives in a data-led, trend-conscious, and customer-focused environment.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a buying, purchasing, or procurement role, preferably in retail, fashion, or luxury goods. Strong negotiation and supplier management experience, as well as experience in inventory and stock level management, are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Sourcing and developing jewellery ranges aligned with customer demand and market trends
* Negotiating with local and international suppliers to secure optimal pricing, availability, and trading terms
* Managing budgets, inventory levels, and product lifecycle, including exit strategies for slow-moving stock
* Coordinating with retail teams on stock levels, customer feedback, and in-store visual merchandising needs
* Attending trade shows and supplier meetings to identify new trends and business opportunities
* Overseeing promotional activity setup and marketing proofing
* Reviewing and processing faulty or damaged stock returns
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a buying, purchasing, or procurement role
* Strong negotiation and supplier management experience (domestic and international)
* Experience in inventory and stock level management
* High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
* Excellent communication and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in the jewellery industry (wholesale, retail, or manufacturing)
* Formal qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Gemmology, or related fields
