Opportunity
This newly created Procurement Manager position reports to the CFO and will lead the greenfield establishment of a purposeful procurement function that will optimise outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives:
* Craft and execute category strategies across all areas of spend.
* Implement controls and processes to develop a framework of procurement best practice.
* Ensure competitive pricing agreements and identify savings that can be reinvested in future initiatives.
* Critically evaluate risk and quality metrics and ensure adherence to social procurement and ethical considerations for suppliers.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the roll‐out and project management of continuous improvement initiatives, including new technologies, systems implementation and upgrades.
* Deliver direct and indirect category spend savings, drive best practice and process improvements, and build a robust risk, governance and contract framework in accordance with social procurement considerations and the organisation's values.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate a track‐record of success and achievement within a hands‐on, yet strategically focused, procurement role. You will be adept at working with diverse stakeholders internally and externally and able to positively communicate the benefits to your audience. The role requires:
* A broad range of skills to enable a full source‐to‐contract methodology across a diverse range of spend categories.
* Procurement analysis, supplier negotiation and selection, contract management and award, and ongoing supplier relationships.
* A commercial lens and competitive sourcing mindset combined with organisational and detailed orientation to enable a robust administrative framework and documented methodologies.
* Outcome‐driven, people‐orientated, adept communication, data‐led with a focus on cost savings and compliance with social procurement considerations.
