Well established Engineering business that has been in operation for over 40 years needs an experienced person to quote and estimate CNC machining work. This successful company specialises in low volume production engineering for various industries such as Mining, Rail, Transport, Defence, and many other industries around Australia.
They have proactive and strong sales and management team that is very successful and now they need an additional person to assist in further growth. The primary purpose of the role is to assist in the achievement of the sales budget & support the BDM, by being the internal "link" with Clients.
You will be working alongside the manager and will be involved with internal sales, estimating, and quoting machining work, managing orders current and new, reading client, and internal drawings, communicating with existing and recent potential clients, and getting involved with developing new business.
You will develop and maintain a positive client relationship and hence the conversion of appropriate business opportunities. The most important part of this role is the ability to quote machining work and follow up.
This is a career position; we are looking for someone for the long term.
To apply for this position, you must have the follow skills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Mechanical trade background.
- CNC machining knowledge ideal.
- Strong mechanical & technical aptitude.
- A valid Australian driver's licence.
- Computer literacy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation.
