About the Company
River Sands is a leading manufacturer of packaged mortars, coatings and sands for supply to Hardware, Plumbing and Landscape stores throughout Queensland and Australia. Established for 50 years, the business operates two factories in Queensland and several warehouses in all Capital Cities around Australia.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced customer service and transport coordinator to liaise with a regular customer base and coordinate delivery to their stores on a next day after order basis.
Based at Loganholme, you will be accepting orders and then coordinating deliveries of palletised products to Bunnings, and other leading retailers, throughout Brisbane and Queensland.
Delivery is completed by a proven and trusted group of six family-owned transport providers who have been partnering with the business for many years.
About you
Our customers rely on the Customer Service Team to process their orders and coordinate delivery in an efficient, accurate and fast manner.
Likewise, our transport partners depend on the Customer Service Team to provide them with a logical and time effective route plan for completing their daily runs.
As part of the team, you will be facilitating the above and when necessary, liaising with your customers to juggle and reprioritise delivery schedules to adapt to changing circumstances and traffic conditions.
In addition to your organisational skills, you be efficient with keyboard entry and utilise the Pronto ERP System to best effect. Training into the Pronto ERP will be provided.
You will be a problem solver by nature, analytical and can pivot and reprioritise in response to changing events.
The Team
You will be collaborating and working closely with an experienced hands-on Logistics Team Leader. The two of you will be sharing and managing the daily order load, coordinating deliveries to all Bunnings stores in Queensland, together with a large number of leading specialist retailers.
Being the building industry, the customer base is typically friendly and down to earth with plenty of banter happening as orders are placed.
The two of you form part of a bigger team of Customer Service Officers who are respectively responsible for their own customer bases. Segmentation and specialisation in the team is based on the varying nature of the products and market segments that the business supplies to.
Our customer service team take pride in achieving fast order fulfillment and rely on their colleagues to chip in to cover off the fluctuations in order traffic. Consequently, we are seeking a person who is a team player and wishes to contribute to the team's success.
You will be joining a vibrant and very well-established business with an entrenched customer service culture that permeates throughout all departments. The hours will be 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
A salary commensurate with experience will be provided.
