Manning Base Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified consultants for Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer opportunities. Located in a vibrant community on the Barrington Coast, Manning Base Hospital is committed to delivering high quality care to women at every stage of life.
About the department
- Busy birthing suite (approx. 650 deliveries per year) and outpatient clinics (including ANC, Gynaecology, High Risk Obstetrics and Colposcopy)
- Surgical services including minimally invasive, open and laparoscopic surgery
- JMO support (Accredited Registrar +/- Rural Generalists, SRMO and RMO)
- Links to a well-established Department of Paediatrics with Special Care Nursery
- Close relationship with the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health with teaching students in Years 3–5 of the Joint Medical Program. Appointment as a Conjoint Academic is encouraged (level commensurate with qualifications and experience)
