We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented WHS Coordinator to join our team and lead the way in safety excellence! About the Role We’re seeking a proactive and committed Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator to champion a safe, healthy and positive work environment across our national network of services. In this newly created role, you’ll take the lead in coordinating and enhancing TheirCare’s WHS systems, documentation and compliance frameworks, ensuring we meet and exceed our safety obligations. As part of the Employee Relations team, you’ll report to the General Manager of Government and Industrial Relations and work closely with our operations teams and key stakeholders. Your guidance and expertise will play a crucial role in strengthening our safety culture, supporting best practice, and empowering teams to deliver safe, high-quality services every day. This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position based at our Glen Iris HQ in Melbourne, with hybrid work options available. Key Responsibilities Maintain WHS systems and compliance documentation, ensuring policies, procedures, registers, and records meet legislative and organisational requirements. Monitor and manage incidents, hazards, and corrective actions, including investigations, reporting, and maintaining the hazard/near-miss register. Coordinate risk assessments, inspections, audits, and WHS reporting, providing clear data insights and dashboards for leadership. Support WHS training and capability building, including developing and delivering micro-learning, mandatory safety programs, and wellbeing initiatives. Provide support for workers compensation and injury management, working with insurers, brokers, and internal leaders on return-to-work processes and documentation. Collaborate across teams to strengthen safety culture, manage psychosocial risks, promote wellbeing initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in WHS practices. About You Experience in WHS administration or coordination, ideally in a multi-site or service-based environment. Strong understanding of WHS legislation, reporting requirements, and compliance processes. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills. Genuine commitment to workplace health, safety, and wellbeing, with a professional and approachable manner. Hold a tertiary qualification in WHS, HR, or a related field, and be willing to obtain the required First Aid and other compliance documentation for the position.
