In this newly created role, you’ll take ownership of the resort’s independent power generation system, leading daily operations and future upgrades of our diesel plant and electrical distribution network. You’ll also play a key part in the resort’s transition to renewable energy, supporting solar and battery integration projects that power the entire resort community. Responsibilities
Operate and maintain diesel power generation and electrical distribution systems. Lead maintenance schedules, high‑ and low‑voltage switching, and system optimisation to ensure safe and reliable power for all facilities. Manage infrastructure projects, budgets, and contractors in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager. Provide technical leadership for the resort’s renewable‑energy transition, including solar PV and battery storage integration. Support operational planning to ensure power resilience through the wet season and peak tourism demand. Uphold compliance with WHS, NT regulations, and environmental standards. Qualifications
Electrical or Power Engineering degree (or equivalent trade with advanced technical experience). Proven experience managing diesel generation systems and electrical distribution networks. HV switching and operations competency (UEPOPS 022/036/116/124 or equivalent). Budget and project management experience for capital works. A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and strong communication skills. Commitment to teamwork, reliability, and respect for cultural and environmental values. Benefits
