Job Opportunity:
The Senior Asset Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring reliable power supply to consumers. This position oversees the development and implementation of asset lifecycle management strategies for high-voltage transmission lines, balancing cost, risk, and performance.
Responsibilities:
* Evaluating economic and technical strategies for asset renewal and maintenance needs, forecasting expenditure to achieve corporate objectives.
* Assessing asset condition, performance, and risk to inform decision-making.
* Reviewing and providing technical oversight of technical standards for transmission line assets.
* Identifying and implementing new technologies and practices to enhance asset management efficiency.
* Developing governance documentation to identify needs, options, and justify investment for replacement or refurbishment of transmission line assets.
* Leading investigations into equipment failures and developing appropriate asset management strategies.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering with extensive experience in engineering practice related to transmission lines design, maintenance, construction, or asset management.
* Sound technical knowledge of transmission lines design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
* Understanding of risk management and asset management concepts.
* Commercial acumen and ability to justify asset investment.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to asset construction and maintenance, safety, and environmental issues.
