Job Summary
We have a unique opportunity in our Products department for a Service Technician to join our awesome Technical Services team in Croydon South, Melbourne. As a Service Technician, you will be experienced in conducting electronics repairs and will be responsible for servicing and repairing fusion splicers and calibrating optical test equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair fusion splicing equipment and associated accessories
* Diagnose, calibrate and repair test equipment and associated accessories
* Perform quality control checks on new equipment prior to shipment to customers
* Provide technical support to internal and external customers
* Build customer relationships and loyalty through direct service support
* Provide high quality, dependable repair service and support
* Actively engage in continuous improvement processes and activities
* Participate in product qualification and R&D as required
Key Skills & Experience
* Ability to logically troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts
* Strong desire and ability to learn and expand fibre optic knowledge
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Strong organisational skills
* Customer service mindset
* Active participation in process improvement efforts
* Proficient with Microsoft suite programs
